Lapseal - Foam Sealing Strip

A compressible, self-adhesive, impregnated Polyurethane foam sealing strip, perfect for sealing gaps in IBR roofing sheets. 
Colours: Grey
Directions for use:
  1. Ensure that roof sheets are free from dust, oil, and grease.
  2. Peel the release paper from the self-adhesive and place Lapseal on the side and end laps of the roof sheets as required.
  3. Position Lapseal no less than 25 mm from the edge of the sheet.
  4. Position the roof sheet and bolt down.
  • Lapseal is clean and easy to use.
  • Available in various material types and sizes.
  • Lapseal is used for waterproofing and dust-proofing the side and end laps of inverted box rib and corrugated roofing sheets.
Composition
  • Metal Roofing Sheets: Flexible acrylic polymer-impregnated Polyurethane foam.
  • Fibre Cement Roofing Sheets: Flexible wax- and resin-impregnated Polyurethane foam.
Size
  • Metal Roofing Sheets: 5 mm x 9 mm.
  • Fibre Cement Roofing Sheets: Big Six, Profile B, Canadian Pattern, Modulit, etc.: 10 mm x 20 mm; Canalit: 20 mm x 25 mm.
Porosity
  • Metal Roofing Sheets: Compress by 95 % of its original thickness for a waterproof seal.
  • Fibre Cement Roofing Sheets: Compress by 75 % of its original thickness for a waterproof seal.
Temperature Range
  • Metal Roofing Sheets: -20;°C to +120;°C.
  • Fibre Cement Roofing Sheets: -20;°C to +77;°C.

Resistance: Not sensitive to decay, fungi, weak acids or alkaline solutions.

Weathering: Retains memory and sealing qualities (if compressed).
